Our Spirit of Autumn Mixed Fibre Box!
The Spirit of Autumn includes:
1 x 10g Bunch of Autumn Hedgerows Teeswater Locks, from Ankoth, one of our own flock
1 x 10g Autumn Yellows Devon and Cornwall Longwool lamb loose curls - includes a range of yellow tones, with some aspects of oranges and pinks too!
1 x 10g Blue Faced Leicester loose fibre, in Autumn Leaves, grown by Autumn, a member of Steph's Flock
1 x 10g "Pumpkin" carded wool, a range of pumpkin inspired oranges
More about our fibres:
Our carded wool has been professionally carded by the Natural Fibre Company in Launceston, Cornwall.
It consists of wools from our own flock, mixed with some Devon and Cornwall Longwool from Tregondale, and some Perendale from Hannah's Flock.
Our carded wool felts wonderfully - the Devon and Cornwall Longwool wool gives it a coarser texture, which means it's fast to felt.
It's then been hand dyed by myself.
To get the best results from our carded wool, take the length and gently pull side to side to free up the fibres, and it will form a mesh that's easy to use in all felted creations and other fibre arts.
Our Devon and Cornwall Longwool fibre comes from Tregondale, a local farm
Our Blue Faced Leicester comes from Steph's flock, a friend of mine, who keeps BFLs
