Mule - Blue Faced Leicester x swaledale, natural undyed locks - 10g bunch wool locks
Our Mule locks! Mules are a cross between a Blue faced Leicester and a swaledale sheep.
Natural and undyed, these came from Ian's flock, a local farmer who supplies me with winter hay and straw, and I buy fleeces from him
Sold in a 10g bunch with an approx 9" staple length.
Perfect wool locks, which are really popular for santa beards, tomtes and other fae folk!
Great for felting, both needle felting or wet felting, and is popular with doll artists for rerooting, or making wigs.
Due to the nature of this fibre, despite being washed mutiple times, a small amount of dirt may remain on some of the tips. This can usually be removed by lightly rubbing, or you could wash out the ends a little more if needed.
There may be a small amount of VM in the locks.
Photos have been taken under different light conditions
Please note that wool is not white unless it has been bleached or lightened, and we never use harsh chemicals on our fibres, so these locks are a natural white and cream colour.
