Blue Faced Leicester x Swaledale locks, hand dyed in a grey dip, 10g
Blue Faced Leicester x Swaledale wool locks, hand washed, and then hand dip dyed in a blue grey mix of tones.
Known as a 'mule' one of the most popular sheep breeds in the UK is the result of crossing a blue faced leicester, known for their soft fleeces with a swaledale, which has hardier wool.
These natural fibre, pure wool locks have a superb crimp, and are very lighweight and soft.
They are approx 6" in length, although some may be a touch longer or shorter.
These locks come from Steph's Flock, an univisted farm, but friend of mine with similar welfare standards to my own, who keeps this breed of sheep.
These locks are perfect for doll hair, or for hair, tails or manes on 3d sculpted needle felted animal makes. They are also great to make beards for gnomes, gonks and tomtes and other magical creatures, in many mixed media forms!
Our locks can be used for rerooting, for making doll wigs or wefts, or can be glued onto other mediums too.
